This is a new age insulation medium. Elastomeric Nitrile is a 100% closed cell Nitrile rubber compound with superior insulating qualities. It is flexible microcellular closed cell elastomeric Nitrile Foam recommended for a temperature range - 40°C to 105°C.
Its tubes are available in various inner and outer diameters to suit copper pipe lengths, and the sheet form are used for insulation of ducts & flat surfaces. On request it can be made available with Aluminium foil facings, in antimicrobial grades and in varying degrees of of fire safety grades. Its Thermal conductivity K value varies from 0.034 to 0.038 W/m K depending upon mean temperature.
The product is ideal for window & split ACs, plumbing & light commercial use because of its cost effective energy conservation, sweat control and easy installation. Its open cell variant offers sound-deadening properties finding applications in HVACs, Generator rooms, etc.
